Yayasan Chow Kit is a Kuala Lumpur–based nonprofit dedicated to protecting and empowering at-risk children in the Chow Kit area. It provides safe spaces, education, psychosocial support, and advocacy for children facing poverty, neglect, and exploitation.

Through community-based programs, the organization helps children build resilience, access opportunities, and break cycles of vulnerability.

How we make an impact

Yayasan Chow Kit addresses the growing vulnerability of urban children facing poverty, neglect, abuse, and exploitation. In Malaysia, over 4,000 cases of child abuse are reported annually, with many more unreported. Children in low-income communities often lack safe environments and consistent support. YCK works to close these gaps through protection, intervention, and long-term care, helping children achieve safety, stability, and a chance at a healthier future.

Yayasan Chow Kit addresses the vulnerability of urban poor children—especially those affected by poverty, neglect, abuse, and exploitation in the Klang Valley. Many lack safe environments, access to education, and emotional support. YCK works to reduce these risks by providing protection, care, and opportunities, helping children avoid harmful situations and build safer, more stable futures.
